About

I am a freelance photographer located in London.
I received my first camera as a gift from my father when I was 8 years old and this sparked a lifelong interest in photography, especially in documenting landscapes and landmarks.
The loss & regain of my eyesight radically altered the types of photographs I take, instilling in me a passion to capture the ephemeral and small details. The simultaneous switch from film to digital (giving instant results) freed me to experiment far more.
I am most inspired by the artists JMW Turner and Claude Monet and their studies of light; and the early pioneers of photography who debated whether this new medium was art or science.
For me the satisfaction and the challenge is to capture the picture in camera and therefore I do not use 'photoshop' nor any colour enhancements on my images.
